Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, a controversial social commentator and self-proclaimed activist, was seen in tears on Wednesday after learning about the death of Anambra businessman Ifesinachi Onyekere, affectionately referred to as “Fish Magnet.”
According to DAILY POST, Onyekere, whose father is a prominent figure in the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State, was abducted last Saturday by heavily armed kidnappers.
The attackers reportedly stormed his home in the Ezinifite area of Okpuno, located in the Awka South Local Government Area, and took him to an undisclosed location.
Tragically, his body was discovered on Wednesday, triggering widespread outrage and grief across Nigeria.
In an emotional video shared on his official Facebook page, VeryDarkMan expressed heartbreak over the killing, denouncing the worsening insecurity in Anambra and across the country.
He also announced plans to travel to the state on August 4th to hold a candlelight vigil in honor of the slain businessman.
He said, “The kidnapping and killings in Anambra State is too much. What is the hope of the entrepreneurs, what is the hope of those going into business in Nigeria?
“I will be coming to Anambra State maybe on the 4th then Maybe we can do a candle light when it will not clash with the sit-at-home in the state.
“Well will do walking in the fish market and do some awareness on the kidnappings going on in Anambra State”.
